CDC is also a 'Children's University Learning & Volunteering Destination, & Passport Issuer.  Providing young folk on the Duke Of  Edinburgh's Award Schemes, & the Arts Award Schemes, opportunities to work towards achieving, opportunities to develop positive personal & social skills.  Along with the opportunities & the know how to pursue creative career options, in the Physical Performing Arts sphere. 

CDC also has it's own awards scheme, your kids can succeed & achieve in 4 categories. 

CDC is also appreciative of the mutually supportive relationship that it has fostered in working with specialist Circus Coaches & Professional International Performers, to bring the magic of circus, & all of the benefits to the communities of Cornwall & Devon.

Throughout Covid CDC facilitated 'Acting Outside The Box', a provision with a Facebook page of the same name, which exists for the professional artistic circus & physical performance community, to access as both a signposting resource, & a support service

 

THE CIRCUS WORKS DEVORAN is a specialist & unique circus training, & learning provision, & circus community hub, based between Falmouth & Truro in Cornwall. 

 

The Circus Works was brought into being in February 2019, being created, managed, & driven by 'Cirque Du Ciel' Charity (CDC), registered in 2003.

The Circus Works harnesses the technical & performance skills of many locally based Performance Artists & Circus Arts Professionals, Semi Pro's, & Volunteers.  The scheduled program at the Circus Works allows them time to grow & develop their artistic & techinical range, & to research, & develop artistic works, whilst simultaneously improving access, providing opportunity, & bringing positive personal & social benefits to local kids & adults within the community.

Making health & well being fun, building self confidence, body positivity, trust, teamwork & learning to manage risk, not fear it.  Similarly too, failure!  A natural part of the learning process, not something to be feared or avoided.

The Circus Works is also home to Cornwall's  'Airfish Circus Community Arts Collective' & 'Next Gen Youth Circus'.

 

The Cirque Du Ciel Circus Works has worked hard to foster strong links to other local & touring Performance & Circus Arts Companies / Organisations/ Individuals.  At the same time working just as hard to foster the same within the local community, & valuing those bonds just as much.  Without all of the folk we have the privilege of both supporting, & being supported by, we would be nothing.

Somehow when it comes to personal, & social development, creative & artistic expression, & improved health, confidence, self esteem & well being, somehow, as if by magic, Circus just....works!
