WHAT TO WEAR

If seeking to learn aerial with no prior experience then it is important that you attend dressed suitably to protect your body, your fellow students, other Circus Works users, the space, & the equipment within it.

You will need to wear tight leggings or thick footless tights. Shorts or tracksuit bottoms can be worn over these, but should not be overly baggy.

Long sleeved full back coverage leotard, or tight long sleeve top, that is also long in the body. T shirts and sweatshirts can be worn over, but avoid baggy items, and items with a hood, or dangling string ties.

For aerial hoop and trapeze it is advisable to bring & wear thick socks, and additional pair of leg warmers or neoprene knee supports, to protect the soft behind the knee area.

No rings dangling or large hoop earrings, necklaces or bracelets. Please tie long hair back.
Anyone wearing clothing with zips or buttons will not be allowed on the aerial equipment.

IN HOUSE SAFETY

Our in house specialist coaches, the charity manager, and our in house volunteers will happily make adhering to our current in house Health and Safety / Covid 19 policies and procedures easy and simple. We will of course make these available to you, for you to read, and our current booking forms should be completed at point of booking, in order for us to ensure that we can contact you if needs be, and that all the required consents if necessary are in place.

We make hand sanitiser and medical grade anti-viral disinfectant spray available during sessions, for between use cleaning. We also use high temperature steam cleaning to ensure equipment and environmental safety.

We obtain all our user's contact details at point of booking, along with their consent to share, should a Covid infection occur. In order to ensure 100% accuracy in informing all who would need to know such has occurred. This is because we have found use of the tracing app on site less accurate and efficient in ensuring appropriate action can be taken on our part. Of course we have QR coding available should participants wish to use their tracing app services.

We will not require proof of Vaccination to attend the Circus Works, as obtaining a vaccination is a private medical matter, and an equally individual choice based on equally individual contexts. Should you wish to provide proof, that is wholly your decision, and we will be appreciative of such, but not insistent, as we do not support non-inclusive processes of any kind.

We do however insist that you follow our in house Covid policy and procedure. You must not attend if you are unwell with, or manifesting any of the symptoms associated with Covid 19, if you have come into known contact with anyone with Covid 19 or Covid 19 like symptoms, for the recommended isolation period.

We request that if you are anxious in any way, if you need to shield yourself, or shield other vulnerable loved ones then do not enter the building. We also request that parents, guardians, lift givers and other visitors who are not students or tutors, do not enter the premises beyond the porch area, should they be picking up or dropping off students. Until restrictions are further lifted.

We advise that should you suffer any of these symptoms, or if you come into contact with a positive Covid case, that you self isolate for the required number of days. We will insist you stay away from the Circus Works until you are clear of illness / symptoms, and until you have completed the required already well known self isolation procedure.

We will of course notify all users and close the premises for the required period of quarantine, should we be unfortunate enough to have Covid in house. Thus far we have been vigilant, and permitted use has been careful and considerate, this has ably assisted us in keeping the Circus Works Covid free to date.
