Check out our new range of activities for all ages! Plus get in touch if you are between 13 and 16!

Updated: Apr 28

We want to hear from teens out of school, and young adults who would be interested in participating in a pilot training course with us. Participants would need to attend at least 3 times per week between the hours of 11 and 4. The goal is to support participants into further education, or professional development in pursuit of a performing arts career, and/or to assist them in creating and developing performances, and improving their personal and social skills, their fitness, their physical literacy and physical performance range/vocabulary.

The course will be modular, and focus around learning and developing Circus Skill sets, performance content and gaining creative and performative knowledge and experience. You will be instructed by locally based, national and touring circus, movement and physical performance professionals. Interested? Get in touch! Meantime here's our new timetable live after the 1 May 2023 (please note no Bank Holiday Monday Sessions).

Go to circus-naomi.com to book Monday and Thursday After school sessions, Monday Private 13+ Circus Club, and Tues, Wed, Thurs Night Adult Aerial Circus. Lisa's hoop classes can also be booked with her directly via Messenger.

SHHHHHHH! We can't say too much but very very soon we are going to need your votes to help our Youth Circus Cirk Hes NextGen out. Keep your eyes open for our first blog/mailshot in May. Please please please please VOTE VOTE VOTE when the time is right. Meantime here's them in action at Glastonbury 2022, such amazing artistry in kids so young NEEDS ALL OUR SUPPORT.

As you all know we have been fighting to keep the Circus Works open for nearly 2 years now, and we continue to do so on a daily basis, we expect to have a court date soon, and will keep you updated as to our next steps as soon as we possibly can. Again please watch this space for news of how you can support us in our campaign to keep the Circus Arts alive and well in our community, and providing real opportunities for alternative career building, health and well being for all.

EASTER HOLIDAY 'MAKE A CIRCUS IN A DAY' SESSIONS - Were just as successful as the Christmas Holiday sessions. We are extremely grateful to Cornwall Council for being accepted as one of their official 'Time2Move' Activity Providers, as part of their 'Holiday Activity and Food Programme', which supports young people to keep active during the school holidays, receive a hot meal and learn more about making healthier eating choices and why.

WATCH THIS SPACE NEARER THE TIME - For news of Summer Holiday sessions and information on how to qualify for and book one of the 20 funded places we can offer to eligible participants at no cost.

If you booked via Playwaze over the Easter Holidays and came to us that way, please please do respond to the email you will have received requesting your feedback on our sessions. Your feedback really helps us to improve what we do, and also evidence the value of what we do. If you haven't received the email because you came to us through Wix not Playwaze, or because it's lost in the ether, please use the following link https://letstalk.cornwall.gov.uk/embeds/projects/6568/survey-tools/21299

We really hope that your children enjoyed their time on the programme. Feedback is really important to us in order to develop the programme, so, we have put together a short survey and we would be really grateful if you are able to complete this with yours and yours children's feedback.

The option is there for you to select the providers which you attended to make this feedback more specific. So, please be honest in your responses, we will be sharing this feedback with the providers directly.

We hope that you are looking forward to the Summer programme!

Thank you

Best wishes

SPRING SUMMER 2023 EVENTS

We'll be posting our schedule of events for this year onto this website shortly, as soon as our frantic event planning and management team come up for air! It's a VERY busy time of year for them so please bear with us. In the meantime here are some fabulous images by Cosmic Xposure, taken at the 'SPRINGTIME STUDENT SPECTACULAR' held on the 23 April 2023, at the Acorn Theatre Penzance.

CHANGING OUR NAME

Cirque Du Ciel will be celebrating 20 years of serving the Cornish Community and the Physical Performing Arts in Cornwall on 29 July 2023!

As it's a milestone moment we think it's time we brought our organisation fully into the 21st Century! We think 'Cirk Hes' will be the name we forward to both Companies House and the Charities Commission for the change. Provided we get their permission we will undergo the change. If not we will still be able to conduct a lot of our project work under the new title. 'Cirk Hes' is Cornish for 'Shoal Circus', which we think fits the nature of our community and the region much better. We'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject though. Perhaps you have a better idea?
